This is a clip from a VHS documentary called "Get Down Grand Funk" from 1968 of Grand Funk Railroad performing Into The Sun. The original name of the 1968 docu-film that was called Mondo Daytona. It was recorded in spring of '68 during Daytona "Bike Week". This documentary was filmed for its shock value. The spring break action of college kids, the bikers, & yes what was to become Grand Funk Railroad. The Tams & Swinging Medallions were the other 2 bands featured on this documentary. Truly a sign of the times. This is the first video of GFRxR right after they became a Power Trio from the defunked "The Pack". Mark & Donnie were 19 years old & Mel was 18. Grand Funk Railroad has gone down in music history as starting a genre of music called "Hard Rock", which later became known as "Metal". This is a historic performace for sure.
