I want to clarify the term golem. It may have been irresponsible to leave a weird term in my comment with no explanation. We all know the golem was originally conceived as a hunk of clay and granted 'life' through some arcane mixture of body fluids and spellcraft.
The golem of today is comprised of miles of stretched glass and copper fibers, circuits within circuits within circuits and quantized energy called information. As we externalize ourselves into gadgets we come to rely more and more on our system than our senses. This system is not purely electro- mechanical,chemical,and physical, but also representational.

Analysis calls to attention semiotics and the dialectic. This is where the map becomes the territory, to borrow the phrase from Korzybski.The signs acquire energy of a sort. As we adapt to our lovely liberated environment, there is no longer any need for traditional values. There is no room for traditional value. Value now is determined only in materialistic terms. You are no longer a racial identity, with a shared bond of blood, heritage and soil, but a consumer identity with a shared demographic. You have, in essence, sold your soul. Faust.
