hey dude, im putting some new pickups in my BcRich JrItV and i was going to put X2Ns in the bridge and Evo2s in the neck. i play extreme metal and i use a vox 75watt practice amp with a digitech deathmetal pedal for practice. and i actually play on a line6 spider 3 half stack. i was just wondering if the pickups would be a good combo for clean sweeps and killerheavy crunch and tone. thanks dude

Hi. I was wondering if you could help me with a few things regarding tube amps. I have been using pretty rubbish solid state amps (Marshall MG series) for years now and I feel it's time to move on and get a decent amp. Obviously this means getting a tube amp (I was thinking about getting a Peavey 6505 seeing as it seems to sound pretty good and isn't extremely expensive). Anyway my question is this: would you recommend using an overdrive pedal for tube amps or is it possible to use an actual distortion pedal? At the moment I have to use a distortion pedal because the dist. on the Marshall MG100DFX is so incredibly bad. Would it be stupid to use such a pedal through a tube amp (I'm assuming that the Peavey would have quite a sharp, tight distorted sound anyway, even without other effects thrown in)?
