Why get hired?
I'm having fun scraping by on freelance gigs, staring dejectedly at my bank statement, and waking up in the middle of the night with panic attacks wondering if tomorrow's the day they're going to shut off the power. Get hired? Then I'd be doing what I'm doing now, only when you're getting paid to do something, there's this rule that you can't have any fun during paid working hours. Not to mention: Once I'm beholden, someone with editorial oversight will inevitably strip, hack, slash, and boil all the flavor out of whatever I make until it's deemed palatable enough for every hosanna hollering fundamentalist in the world. But yeah. I'm working on it. Getting hired. |
