harris chang is fast too

Just over a year ago, when someone mentions Yu, the fastest cuber in the world, Yu meant Yu Jeong-Min (Gungz). Several years ago, Macky indeed, did pretty much own every single category, but times have changed. It would be very difficult for anyone to get WR in several categories or even to main one WR for long.

I think it's really just as likely for other fast cubers like Stefan Huber, Jason Baum, Mitchell Stern, Andrew Kang, Harris Chan, Andy Tsao, Tim Sun, Edouard Chambon, Rama Temmink, Adam Polkowski, Jean Pons, Tomasz Zolnowski, Derrick Eide, ... Really the list goes on and on, but the ones listed are the other fast people for the 3x3 I know of. Perhaps some completely new person would emerge someday to get a sub-7 second average, who knows. For the fast people at 4x4 and 5x5 and other puzzles, the list gets longer. Speedcubing is a very competitive sport, it is certainly not dominated by just a few people.

Like Erik been saying for years, "Getting lucky is not a crime..." Also, that solve wasn't even that lucky, just a PLL skip. Why is everyone worshipping Nakajima like he's god? Yes, he is one of the fastest cubers, but not the only one. No reason to root for someone either. That's pathetic. Cubing is about setting your own goals and doing the best you can do. Nakajima and Erik and many other cubers are very nice people. :-)

i think it's just a very good case for erik..but still, a wonderful solve..haha.. and he can't beat nakaji's ave..

guys, stop pitting erik and nakajima. they're both world record holders for the 3x3. But I still wonder which has more glory, the single solve or the average... I wonder if nakaji can beat erik's SS, but I also wonder if erik can beat nakaji's ave.
